Job Summary
Responsible for the strategic administration of institutional and external scholarships, oversight of fund[1]management processes, and assurance of regulatory compliance within the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. This role leads efforts to optimize financial resource allocation, maintain fiscal integrity, and enforce adherence to federal, state, and institutional policies. The Associate Director also provides leadership to staff, partners with academic and administrative units, and supports the Institute¿s mission to provide equitable financial-aid access. This position regularly interacts with institute faculty, administrators, students, donors, and alumni; advises and counsels faculty, administrators, and students; and supervises assigned staff.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Oversee the administration, awarding, and reconciliation of institutional and external scholarships and fellowship funds
Job Duty 2-
Coordinate stewardship efforts with academic units, departments, donors, and external partners to ensure alignment and transparency in fund utilization
Job Duty 3-
Manage receipt, processing, and reconciliation of awards and financial aid resources, ensuring compliance with all regulations
Job Duty 4-
Supervise and lead assigned financial aid staff, including setting goals, assessing performance, and guiding professional development
Job Duty 5-
Participate in strategic planning efforts for the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, contributing insights on scholarship strategy and resource planning
Job Duty 6-
Serve as liaison between the Financial Aid Office and Finance/Accounting, ensuring accurate fund transfers, reconciliations, and audits
Job Duty 7-
Advise and counsel students, families, and Institute stakeholders regarding scholarship eligibility, application processes, and award outcomes
Job Duty 8-
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations. Experience in scholarship administration, fund stewardship, and compliance. Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and supervise staff. Proficiency in financial aid systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with student information systems and reporting/query tools
