Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of the Financial Aid Counselor position is to manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports associated with the Office of Financial Aid involving but not limited to awarding, residency, unusual enrollment, and student semester enrollment. This role serves as a critical point of contact for providing accurate and timely information about financial aid policies and procedures to current and prospective students, their families, and other campus visitors through individual meetings and outreach. In addition to these duties, this position will also have specific programmatic responsibilities, which may include managing specialized aid programs, supporting compliance initiatives, or assisting with outreach events. Collects data and provides necessary reports to senior management. Must meet time service deadlines on work as well as critical federal and state deadlines. This position counsels with students by a variety of means including in person, by phone, and email. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned or directed.
